Created in partnership with Big T Recreation and Playworld, this outdoor playground reflects a commitment to inclusive, cross and multi-generational play—inviting children and caregivers of all ages to explore, connect, and grow through play.

The vision for Cook Family Park was to create a welcoming, dynamic space that encourages active lifestyles and meaningful connection. Designed to serve a wide range of ages and abilities, the playground needed to inspire creativity, support physical development, and offer a sense of discovery—while becoming a lasting gathering place for the Pleasant Grove community.

the challenge

The project called for a thoughtfully designed outdoor environment that could balance inclusivity, durability, and imaginative play. The challenge was to create a destination that felt cohesive yet offered varied experiences, ensuring children of different ages and abilities could engage simultaneously. The design also needed to reflect the community’s values while standing up to high use and long-term outdoor conditions.

  • Multi-level climbing structures, animal-inspired forms, and interactive play components invite kids to crawl, climb, and imagine.
