The leading architecture firm partnered with Soft Play to create the centerpiece for their client’s multi-use, multi-generational, 158,000 sq. ft. indoor recreational complex, the Center of Recreational Excellence (CORE) in Hobbs, New Mexico. This facility was designed together with the City of Hobbs to enhance the quality of life and health of their community.
Our in-house team of custom designers, engineers and project management experts collaborated closely with architects, as well as officials and designers from the City of Hobbs and the CORE partnership to deliver the concept design that hit the mark.
After a number of collaborative sessions, we created the play environment that integrated seamlessly with the architectural features of the CORE complex. We packed this play area with a multitude of active play elements designed to provide opportunities for social interaction, learning, fun and fitness for all ages and abilities in one unforgettable destination.
Soft Play’s design was a towering success. This adventure course combined with age-appropriate areas for smaller kids created the perfect environment for families.
This play area features:
• Three 38-foot-tall towers
• 297 play capacity
• Two sky-high stainless-steel spiral slides
• Multi-level, net-enclosed skyways and climbing mazes
• A smaller, separate play structure for children ages 5 and under
• Sculptured play
• Fun and playful tire climbs and hangout spots
“Soft Play was very responsive to our dream for the structure and I think the structure we got far exceeds our wildest imagination."Doug M. Parks and Recreation Director, City of Hobbs, New Mexico
